In May of 2010, I went on a saltwater trip with a couple friends of mine and Captain Dale to beautiful Boca Grande, Florida. Our target species were Redfish, Snook and Trout. It was a 2 day trip.
On the first day, we caught all three species which was great. While working the tides, Dale would take us to his Redfish and Snook holes, the fish were always there. It was a fun first day, caught a bunch of fish.
On the second day, we also caught all three species, but this day I caught a 34 inch Snook on live bait Dale had caught by castnet in the early morning. It was the biggest Snook I had ever caught, it was an awesome fight. This day, he also took us to his favorite trout hole where we caught 360 inches of trout, one after another.
For the 2 day trip, we caught 638 total inches of all three species.
It was a trip of a lifetime, thanks Dale.
Sincerely,
Dave
P.S. I even hooked into a 200lb Tarpon for about 20 seconds at the dock while we were cleaning fish.
I’ve lived in Florida most of my life and had a fishing rod thrust at me before I was 5 years old. My granddad turned me into a good surf fisherman, but I had never caught a snook, something I’d always wanted to do. So very early one morning my step-daughter and I went to sea with Captain Dale Thompson.
The day started with watching the sunrise as we motored into the Atlantic ocean to catch our bait. The sea was calm and before long we had caught our live bait and proceeded to the first of several of Dale’s favorite fishing spots. The fishing was unbelievable. I tied into a really nice snook and because Dale had instructed me on how to keep it from jumping and throwing the hook, we successfully netted and boated the fish. After taking pictures we returned the snook to the water to fight another day.
Later we moved on to another spot and were greeted by a mama manatee and her baby. What a sight, to see this wonderful creature living free in her native environment! We fished there for awhile and had a couple of misses, so we moved to another of Dale’s fishing spots and it proved to be the best one of the day. After catching and releasing several snook, Tiffiny hooked one that headed straight for the mangroves where her line predictably became tangled. Dale, minus shirt and shoes, jumped in and waded into the mangroves, untangled the line and captured the wayward fish, the largest of the day.
Fishing with Dale is an informative and fun-filled experience. I’ve fished with him twice and would gladly do so again.

Captain Dale,
Thanks again for the fishing last Saturday. My brother-in-law and I had a great time. This was my third bass charter in the Orlando area. You gave the best instruction by far. Not only did I have fun, but I feel that I am a much better 'shiner' fisherman after spending the morning with you. We caught bigger fish and had fewer misses with you than the previous two charters.
I will recommend you to friends of mine with all skill/experience levels. Looking forward to fishing Toho with you next time I'm in Orlando.
Best Regards,
John Faustino

My name is Dave and I love to fish. Freshwater, Saltwater, whatever.
I just recently went on a Trout, Redfish and Snook trip with Angler’s Choice Fishing Adventures and Captain Dale Thompson. He took me and a friend out for two days in his 24 foot Sterling that has more deck area than I have even seen on that type of boat, very comfortable.
The first day we targeted Trout. Dale took us around to some different islands and in the back country. By the end of the trip, we had caught 65 Trout. An awesome day, it was beautiful.
The next day we targeted Redfish and Snook. We went out to castnet for some whitebait, but they were difficult to find because the water was so stirred up and the wind was blowing 15 mph. Despite those conditions, we managed to find some bait and set out. We stopped and anchored in three feet of water and casted into an area towards a small island. After two hours we had caught 274 inches of Redfish and Snook. The largest Red was 33 inches, what a fish, what a trip.
I know I’ll definitely fish with Dale again.
